Christie Amurgis, M.A., CCC-SLP
Director / Speech-Language Pathologist

Christie is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Florida in 2002.  Christie has a master level degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology degree from West Virginia University and went on to pursue her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee.  Christie has experience working in many settings including the public school system, hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation centers, child hearing services, behavioral learning and speech therapy center for autism, as well as, private practice and home healthcare.  Her love of children brought her into the pediatric arena.  As owner and director of Sunshine SPOT, she is excited to be an integral piece of such an amazing and committed group of therapists and families.  Throughout her career, Christie has worked with a variety of children with a wide range of diagnoses and disabilities.  She is also certified as an Infant-Toddler Developmental Specialist focusing on early intervention services for children ages birth to three.  Outside of work, Christie is busy raising her three children and spending time with her husband.

Bailey Andersen, M.S., CCC-SLP
Director of Speech-Language Services / Speech-Language Pathologist

Bailey is a native upstate New Yorker, but moved to Florida with her family while she was in high school. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of South Florida. Bailey has experience working in many settings including the public school system, hospitals, outpatient-rehab, as well as private practice/home healthcare. She is also certified as an Infant-Toddler Developmental Specialist focusing on early intervention services for children ages birth to three years of age. Bailey has extensive experience working with children with a range of diagnoses and disabilities and currently provides services in Pasco County.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Marina Buttrick, M.S., CF-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist - Clinical Fellow

Marina is a native to Florida and currently resides in Palm Harbor. Marina received her Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Early Childhood Education and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. Marina has a considerable amount of experience working with children with a wide range of communication disorders. She has a passion for the pediatric population and has worked in private practice, hospital, and home healthcare settings. In her spare time, Marina enjoys traveling, being at the beach and outdoors, spending time with her fiancé, family, friends, and her yellow lab, Mila

Kristin Stiggleman M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Kristin is a Florida native. She grew up in Fort Myers, FL but currently resides in South Tampa. Kristin graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida. After she graduated with her undergraduate degree she decided to gain experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant before attending graduate school. Four years later, Kristin enrolled in the Speech-Language Pathology graduate program at Nova Southeastern University, graduating with her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in December 2017. Kristin has a considerable amount of experience working with children with a variety of communication delays/disorders. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and attending concerts and sporting events.

Whitney Phillips M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Whitney is new to the Tampa Bay Area. She is originally from a small town in central Illinois. She moved to Florida in 2018 after receiving a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Illinois State University in June of 2018. She enjoys working with the pediatric population and has experience working in both public schools and an outpatient clinic. She has worked mostly with children evaluating and treating a variety of speech and language disorders. In her spare time, Whitney enjoys spending time with friends, fishing, and going to the beach.

Samantha Pena M.S., CF-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist - Clinical Fellow

Samantha is a Florida native. She grew up in Valrico, FL but currently resides in South Tampa. Samantha graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida and Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of South Florida. Samantha enjoys working with the pediatric population and has experience working in various settings with children who exhibit a variety of communication delays/disorders. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys spending time with her puppy, family and friends, traveling, reading, and relaxing on the beach.
