Lead Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist
Alicia is a certified Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist, focusing on early intervention services for children ages birth to three years of age. She has been with Sunshine SPOT since 2013 and has helped implement free screenings and parent education programs throughout our community. Alicia received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University. Alicia has extensive experience working with children with special needs, as well as with children in state foster care systems. Her hobbies include spending time with her son and family, training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and relaxing at the beach.
Kristina Fernandez, B.A., SLP-A., ITDS
Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist
Kristina Fernandez is a bilingual Early Interventionist and speech language pathology assistant. She was born and raised here in Tampa, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and science disorders from the University of South Florida. She has over 10 years of experience working with children with a variety of developmental delays in various settings including private therapy, hillsborough/pasco county schools and in home therapy. In addition, Kristina certified as an Infant Toddler Developmental specialist that provides early intervention for children ages birth to three years old that have developmental delays. She enjoys traveling and vacationing with her husband and their three year old son. Her passion of working with children became known to her when her brother, Bailey was diagnosed with autism when he was 23 months. Through him and seeing how impactful all her brothers therapies were she come to find her passion.
